An Intimate Tonquin Beach Wedding in Tofino

On a glorious afternoon on Vancouver Island, Giulia and Even declared their love for each other on a mountain top, with panoramic views of Pacific Rim National Park. Afterwards, they headed into Tofino for an intimate Tonquin Beach wedding ceremony surrounded by family (and fur children).

A Private Helicopter Adventure Before The ceremony

Before the formal ceremony, Giulia and Even wanted an intimate experience where they could take photos and exchange their personal vows.

We flew with Atleo Air from Tofino Airport. Going up in a helicopter is always a bit nerve wracking, but the views were incredible and so worth it. Behind us was the vast Pacific Ocean, and in every other direction were mountains, as far as the eye could see. At one memorable moment, we approached a tall ridge and when we flew over it, the mountain range below had a sudden (an very large) drop. It was breathtaking.

An Intimate Ceremony at Tonquin Beach

The couple had originally considered Long Beach for their ceremony location, but decided on Tonquin Beach because it is more secluded and sheltered from the wind. They chose a quiet corner of the beach, right on the shoreline with gentle waves rolling in.

There is a short walk to access the beach, with some narrow paths and a set of stairs. It’s a beautiful little trail through the rainforest that feels far away from civilization. That’s the beauty and magic of Tofino, you can experience both realms simultaneously.
