In between filming and editing wedding videos, I like to slow the pace down by offering photography as well. Where I am bound to landscape with video, photography allows me a little more freedom to frame a shot and capture people in other ways.

Corianne and Roger reached out to me about their vow renewal this summer in the beautiful city of Victoria. Since I just moved to the Island from Edmonton, we decided to do a little session in Nanaimo prior to the wedding.

I headed to Neck Point Park the evening before our session, to see where the light was falling and what spots might work best. It’s such a captivating place to explore and photograph.

Corianne and Roger have been married for ten years, but they have been together for twenty two years. On the day of our session, I found they are so comfortable with each other and natural on camera that it made my job easy!
